McINTYRE, John Charles Age 71, Truro.

-

With vast sorrow and heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of John C. McIntyre, of Truro. John was born and raised in Dominion (Cape Breton), NS, a son of the late John William and Edna (Gouthro) McIntyre. Affectionately, remembered by his wife, Sharon (Lynds) McIntyre, the sunshine of his life. Loving father of three children, Belinda (Trevor), Derek (Anneliese) and Jason McIntyre; two step-children, Aaron (Dawn) and Angelina Crowe. Much cherished Grand-dad of 15 grandchildren and a greatgranddaughter. He is also survived by his sisters, Diane (Victor Stresman), Colleen (Wayne Clarke) and his brother, Lorne (Michelle McIntyre). The friends and family of Bill W. respectfully remember John of 38 years. An exceptional thank you to one of God’s angels, Dr. Stephen Ellis and his receptionist, Holly, Palliative Care, VON, Angelina Crowe and all that assisted in his care to allow him to remain at home. John left us with riddles that became clear, messages of wisdom, the power of peer support and silence, unconditional love and compelling memories. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 4th from 2-3 p.m. followed by a Private Family service at 3 p.m., both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, NS. COVID-19 restrictions will be in place. Live webcasting will begin at 2:58 p.m. (Atlantic Time) and is available with online condolences by visiting www.ColchesterCommunity.com. In lieu of flowers or donations, we request that you pay it forward - ‘in helping others; you help yourself,’ so, buy that coffee for another, share your experience, strength and hope, keep it simple and live each day on life’s terms - one day at a time. “Keep the Focus; the Rest is Bullshit” Rest easy, John.
