Ann died peacefully at home with her husband by her side on December 5, 2020 at the age of 79 after a lengthy illness. Born in Westmount, NS, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Elsie (MacAskill) MacIntyre. She is survived by her husband, Lindsay; daughters, Debbie (Shane) Gillis, Joanne (Partner David Gilkes); sons, David (Sheri), Mike (Tobi); eight grandchild­ren and three greatgrand­children; two sisters, Peggy (Lou Harris) and Barbara. Besides her parents she was predecease­d by son, Ken; a sister, Nancy; brothers, Roy and Albert. Ann loved being a wife, mother, nanny and great nanny. She enjoyed cooking and baking especially around the holidays. She enjoyed summer vacation visits from family and relatives. She was a true Bingo Lady and played every chance she could with her bingo buddies. Her husband’s family thought the world of Ann and she them. Thanks to the VON nurses and the home care people for their weekly visits during the past two years. Also thanks to the Renal Clinic Staff, Dr. Myatt and staff for their care over the past several years. There will be no visitation or public funeral. A small private family service will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel. Interment will take place in Hardwood Hill Cemetery, next to her son Ken. Arrangemen­ts are under the direction of Sydney Memorial Chapel.
