DESROSIERS, Linda Anne

-

It is with our deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend Linda Anne Desrosiers from Dominion, NS on December 16, 2020, at the age of 73. Linda, the daughter of the late John and Veronica (Vonnie) MacEachern, born in Sydney, NS. She is survived by her loving husband, Allan Desrosiers; sons, Darren Desrosiers (Amanda Kelly) and Kirk Desrosiers (Tami Clarke); Grandkids, Brocton, Christopher, Dylan, and Xavier; Brother John MacEachern (Debbie); sister Heather MacVicar (Donald) and many more loving family members and friends. Linda was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth (Cliff) Guillena. Linda found joy and passion through song and was co-founder and a member of the Coal Town Chorus from 1983-1997, as well as Director of the Vonnie MacEachern Senior Singers for several years. Those lucky few who had the chance to hear her amazing voice, knew how wonderful she was at performing in front of others, especially at the bungalow in Mira with family and friends. She loved holidays as much as singing; Christmas being first, with Halloween a close second. Decorating the old family home on Pleasant Street was a point of community pride - ghouls and goblins, angels, and lights, bringing family, friends, and community together. Linda was an avid lover of jewelry, buying, selling, and trading from home and local flea markets. She was a member of the Board of Directors for the Dominion Credit Union for several years and had many wonderful stories to share about her colleagues whom she held in such high regard. In honouring Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation and a memorial will be held at a later date for the family. Donations on Linda’s behalf can be made to the IWK Foundation at https://iwkfoundation.org/donate. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting www.foresthaven.ca.
