Born into a large family of twelve in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Ellen “Nellie” (Nolan) McMullin. In her early years, Kaye was employed at the People’s Store in Glace Bay. She was a member of St. Anne’s Church and the last surviving member of her immediate family. She enjoyed playing cards (Scat); but mostly she will be remembered as a very compassionate lady who was dedicated to her entire family. Kaye is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Eric) Caverzan; one grandson, Nicholas; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Fabian McNeil in 2015; four brothers, Dave, Justin, Lou, Matty; seven sisters, Elizabeth MacNeil, Cleo “Lokie” Robinson, Helen Stevens, Marie Redmond, Mary MacKinnon, Lily Rhodes and Faustina MacDougall.
