With profound gratitude for a beautiful life well lived, we regret to announce the passing of (Ann) Ursula Flynn, (Hammonds Plains, N.S.) on January 2nd, 2021. She was predecease­d by her parents, John Pius & Mary McLeod; her sisters, Isabel, Helen & Merle; brother, John; sister-in-law, Marjorie & husband Archie MacDonald; sister-in-law, Judy McLeod. She is lovingly remembered by her husband & truest companion, Bernie; children, Bernard (Christine), Marie, Jonathan (Betty) & Moyra (David); grandchild­ren, Jonathan (Courtney), Megan, Shauna, Saxon, Cameron, Katie, Austin & Flynn; brother, Peter (Maureen) & families; brother-in-law, Melin (Aileen) & families; brother-inlaw, Blair (Jeannie) & families. Ursula was born October 21, 1934 in New Waterford, N.S. After graduating High School, she completed her training as an XRay Technician, a career she practised for a short time prior to marrying Bernie on June 13th, 1957. Thus began her life-long commitment as a wife, mother & grandmothe­r. She was a loving mentor and a staunch friend, caring for her family with skill and pride. Ursula was a devout Catholic, strong in her faith. She was an avid reader, an accomplish­ed bridge player, enjoyed tennis (how she met Bernie, through her friend Marjorie), lawn bowling, a life-long learner and a keen observer of the world and politics. Ursula instilled a love of reading, the appreciati­on of cinema, swimming and the art of conversati­on in her thankful children. Her deserved reward of eternal life will leave a space that will never be filled. Ursula shall be remembered with endearing love and true thankfulne­ss.
