It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Christophe­r Paul Musial, age 41, on Saturday January 9, 2021, at home. He is survived by his father, James Musial (Suzanne) and mother Toni Mason; Brother, Glenn (Kristen) and his precious children, Joshua and Gracie and their mother, Amanda Bryden. Also left to mourn is his common-law partner, Paulette Corbett Mcneil and her children, Daniel and Keidi Mcneil, along with their fur buddies Cremco and Chloe who will also miss him dearly. Chris was born in Glace Bay. During his school years, he was an exemplary athlete, playing hockey, baseball, and basketball. Chris played hockey for Junior B and could also be seen umpiring many baseball games. Upon graduation, Chris was awarded an ROTP scholarshi­p with the Canadian Armed Forces and worked there for a brief period of time. Chris’ career path took him all across Canada working in many trades and unions. He had many fond memories working out west, where he obtained a red seal in the boiler, gas, pipefittin­g trade and worked there for several years. Chris moved back to Cape Breton and worked mainly in the constructi­on trade where he was last employed as a carpenter journeyman with Cape Breton Drywall Local 1588. Chris will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was always welcoming with a warm smile and wore his heart on his sleeve. Chris’s love reached far including numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends of whom he adored, it also included his fellow brothers of the Dominion Community Hawks Club where he was a proud member. Cremation has taken place. A Celebratio­n of Life will be announced at a later date under the care and guidance of TJ Tracey and Burial Specialist­s, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199).
