SNOW, Paula Marie “Joan”

We, the family of Paula Marie “Joan” Snow, regret to announce her passing on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born March 24, 1950, in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late George and Pauline (Somers) Snow. Joan was a joy to be around. A thoughtful and kindhearte­d woman who would do anything for anyone. Her compassion and love for her family and friends was immeasurab­le. Spending time with her nieces and nephews always put a smile on her face. Joan also enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends in her building. She had a creative talent and was known for her beautiful and amazing quilts. Joan also loved knitting and crocheting just as much as she enjoyed getting her crafts ready for the weekly flea market. Joan is survived by her sisters, Judy (Brent) Law, AB, Darlene (Joseph) Hareguy, Sydney, Jeannie (Greg) MacNeil, Toronto and Margaret (George) Snow, Reserve Mines; brother, George, Sydney; brother-in-law, Dougie Sullivan; and her loving nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Joan was predecease­d by her sister, Karen Sullivan. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday, January 21 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Dennis Lamey officiatin­g. Interment will take place in Resurrecti­on Cemetery.
