Volunteer Opportunities
The Province of Nova Scotia invites applications for volunteer positions with its Advisory Committees on Adjudicative Boards.
Advisory Committees meet at least twice per year to review applications and recommend qualified candidates for appointment to the Province’s 30 adjudicative boards, including the Labour Board, Assistance Appeal Boards and the Motor Vehicle Appeal Board. Volunteer members of Advisory Committees serve for two year terms and are reimbursed for expenses.
You are encouraged to apply if you have:

• the capacity to make fair and objective decisions
• effective verbal and written communication skills
• high ethical standards and integrity
• respect for the essential dignity of all persons regardless of their circumstances, and a commitment to diversity and employment equity Experience in candidate recruitment and selection and/or familiarity with the work of adjudicative or quasi-judicial boards would also be helpful.
