The Griffin family announce the reunion of our parents on April 9, 2024 as our mother Catherine Georgina Griffin while surrounded by her children, peacefully passed away into the presence of God and the arms of her husband Patrick ( who predecease­d her). Besides her husband, she was also predecease­d by her parents, Harry and Bride (Fitzpatric­k) Patterson, a daughter in infancy, Georgina Margaret, brothers ,Tom, George and David and sisters, Hilda Doody and Mary LaCivita. Catherine was a devout woman of faith and a longtime member of St. Joseph’s parish and the Catholic Women’s League. Her strong faith was demonstrat­ed through her children as well as her kind and generous nature. She was an accomplish­ed knitter and many people were blessed by the things that she created, especially the children in the Pediatric Ward at the CBRM. She was an excellent homemaker and was never happier than when she was tending to her beautiful gardens and her flowers. Catherine is survived and will be missed by her children, Charlie (Coreen), Pat (Cindy), Janet (Jim) Kuzma, Fred (Janet), Linda (Rick) Howell and George (Susan); her brothers, Charlie (Shirley), Harry (Sharon) and Jim (Jeannie) Patterson, her sisters, Barbara (Doug) Power and Sr. Bridget Patterson along with 12 grandchild­ren; 21 greatgrand­children; her sister-inlaw, Helen Patterson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at TW Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George St., on Sunday, April 14th from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. A funeral mass will be held 11a.m. on Monday, April 15th at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church, 50 Cabot St., Fr. Bill Burke presiding. Interment in Resurrecti­on Cemetery.
