A PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNEY
A wild womn’s take on Jordan & UAE
A 30-year-old triple negative breast cancer survivor who has traveled to over 30 countries and 6 continents solo, but isn’t done yet. Her mantra through all of her adventures on camels, crocodiles, and through cancer:
Petra, Jordan: En route to The Monastery, a family rides along one of the otherworldly sunsets that are a common surprise attraction in Petra while walking toward the burial sites in mid-day.
Petra, Jordan: Transportation is easy to come by, and an easy way to support the local Bedouin people. Families or single persons who are unable to walk, or uncomfortable riding a donkey, horse, or camel can elect to take a relaxing, scenic route in a carriage through the whole park.
Jerash, Jordan: Often an overlooked gem in the rosy shadow of Petra, Jerash holds the second-best preserved Roman ruins in the world. Just when you think you have reached the end of the ancient village, around the corner is another conserved piece of ancient history.
The contrast between the ancient city and the bustling capital of Amman visible at the top of the Roman theater gives you the reality-defying sensation that you are in two different time periods at once.
