Tough slog from arena’s top section

-

I am surprised that no one has commented on the great difficulty that people had getting out of the top section of our new hockey arena after the Dolly Parton concert.

It took us at least 30 minutes to get out of the building and we are able-bodied adults. The first problem was the long wait to get onto one of the escalators from that level to go down to the next level. There were many people with walkers and canes who were clearly tired by this wait.

Once we were off this escalator, we hit another large backlog of people trying to get out. We were directed to take three flights of stairs down to the ground floor level. Most took the stairs as the elevators were so backlogged, including many people with walking difficulties.

I wonder how many of these people will go to this arena again. Donna Wilson, Edmonton
