HAMILTON’S AMERICA

One of Broadway’s top phenomena is in the spotlight in this new Great Performanc­es offering, as the creation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s winner of 11 Tony Awards and a Pulitzer Prize is traced. Miranda talks about the show, as do original cast members Christophe­r Jackson and Leslie Odom Jr., as they visit Hamilton-relevant locations. (PBS, WTVS)

THE FIFTH ESTATE

The investigat­ive program returns for its 42nd season, hosted by returning veterans Bob McKeown, Gillian Findlay and Mark Kelley. Each week the program offers political leaders, controvers­ial public figures and “ordinary” people to explore stories that matter to Canadians. (CBC)

GHOST HUNTERS

In the repeat episode, Fighting Spirit, the TAPS team travels to the historic Varnum Memorial Armory in East Greenwich, R.I., where they have been summoned by people who are involved in an upcoming renovation to the property. They want the paranormal investigat­ors to help determine the likelihood that this constructi­on might disturb and even provoke any lingering spirits who might be psychicall­y attached to artifacts with documented links to violence. In the Season 2 premiere, host Dale Curd returns to a bustling metropolit­an airport, which sees thousands of travellers and their families arriving and departing daily. Curd is here to seek out those who have moving, funny or just generally interestin­g personal stories to tell about love, loss, family and friendship. (CBC)

Z NATION

Doc (Russell Hodgkinson) finds himself captured by an unhinged nurse and her gaggle of mental patients in a situation that feels a bit like One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, but with zombies. They are also holding 10K (Nat Zang) prisoner and planning to lobotomize him to cure him of what they view as delusions. All that stands between the two prisoners and their freedom are some Electro-Shock Zombies and Flaming Zombie Psychopath­s on Wheels, (Space)
