CRYPTOGRAMS

- myles mellor

Cryptograms are encoded sentences, where each letter has been substituted with another. Each puzzle has its own code, but subsitutions are consistent throughout that puzzle. A letter may not stand for itself. For example, JVVW could be code for KEEP, making every V in that puzzle an E, etc.

Last Week’s Cryptograms

1. Statistically, ninety-five per cent of all those preventative shots are in vein.

2. A curious child swallowed some money. X-rays were done. He exclaimed eagerly, “Do you see any change in me?”

3. There was a very good medical term for owning too many furry hound dogs. It’s called Roverdose.

4.Ouch! I felt weak and feeble. I had broken my leg in two places. My doctor had a great solution. Stop going to those places!
