Beating victim dies in hospital
A 34-year-old man is dead after being hospitalized following a bloody assault at a west Edmonton apartment building earlier this month. Dustin Horsethief, who was stabbed and beaten in a condo suite April 15, has since died, Edmonton police said Monday. Police arrested two “blood-covered” men coming out of an elevator at the apartment moments after receiving a 911 call from neighbours, who heard a disturbance in a suite near 173 Street and 69 Avenue. Jason Hope, 38, and Trevor Auger, 36, were charged with 65 offences related to the attack, including attempted murder.
