Cleanup continues after Highway 63 spill

-

RCMP said Sunday that cleanup operations from a Friday natural gas condensate spill on Highway 63 is expected to slow traffic for several more days. The driver of a semi-trailer hauling the hydrocarbons lost control Friday near Boyle and the truck rolled across the centre median, according to police. No one was injured. Initially, workers shut down the highway to keep the public out of a 300-metre perimeter for the mop up. By Saturday afternoon, police had reopened one lane in each direction. Cleanup crews are expected to be on the scene for several more days, police said Sunday in a news release.
