Bungles occurred on mayor’s watch

Re. “Many politicians are out of touch,” Letters, June 16

Thank-you Gail Kozak, for writing your thoughts regarding an out-of-touch mayor and his back-up councillors. I fail to understand how they think they are so special.

Almost every bridge and LRT line built under our mayor’s mandate has been finished past due and some were real botch jobs, all at a cost unfathomable to the working and retired tax-paying public that has to cut down on groceries to pay all the tax increases we’ve been hit with.

The dandelion issue is another brainwave from the out-of-touch council that has made our city an embarrassing sight to outsiders.

For every tax hike, the circle of inflation increases by multiples as every business has to make up for the loss paid out in taxes.

And for that, he wants a raise to be the highest-paid mayor in Canada?
