The newest addition to the sci-fi franchise debuts Sunday, featuring a new ship, new characters and new missions. Set 10 years before the adventures of Kirk and Spock, it stars Sonequa Martin- Green, Jason Isaacs, Doug Jones and Shazad Latif. Immediatel­y after the debut, the second episode airs in Canada only on Space, which will broadcast all subsequent instalment­s. (CTV/CBS)

THE NATURE OF THINGS

The long-running science series begins a five-part documentar­y titled The Wild Canadian Year. It features never-before-filmed wild animal behaviours, plus some of the most amazing natural events and wildlife footage ever shot in Canada — from frozen frogs to flirting fireflies, to a fish the size of a pickup truck. The first four episodes focus on one season each, starting with spring. (CBC)

Season 11 of the homegrown family drama debuts with the episode Baby on Board. Ty (Graham Wardle) struggles when his mom makes an unexpected visit in hopes of bonding with her granddaugh­ter. (CBC)

WHO SHOT BIGGIE & TUPAC?

This new investigat­ive crime special examines two of the greatest murder mysteries in pop culture history. Digging deep into the entangled murders of hip hop’s most legendary adversarie­s — rappers Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. — the two-hour program is hosted by actor and rapper Ice-T and journalist Soledad O’Brien. KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIAN­S

Yup, the Kardashian­s have been on TV for 10 years. To mark the occasion, Ryan Seacrest sits down with Kris, Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie in a 90-minute special. They reflect on the past decade and talk about what it’s been like to live in front of the camera. (E!)

STORAGE WARS: BEST BIDDING WARS

In a new episode, Renee and Casey defend their home turf, the buyers fight for some rocking memorabili­a, and Ivy and Mary team up in Koreatown. Also, Darrell and Brandon bring some shenanigan­s to a bidding war. (A&E)

It’s a fresh instalment: Newlyweds Need Help in Florida. Robyn and Anthony are interested in a move-in-ready income property or a lowpriced home that needs some work, and they’re attracted to 100-year-old Craftsmans­tyle houses, but they need Mike Holmes’s help to make a smart purchase. THE GREAT FOOD TRUCK RACE

Season 8 wraps up. The final two food truck teams arrive in Savannah, Ga., only to find they must leave their food trucks and sell from pedicabs. Each team has a half-hour to make as much food as possible to sell. (Food)
