ABSOLUTE BEAUTY AND CHARM

Carefully-crafted units in St. Albert

- RYAN GARNER

Grandin Parc Village, a mixed-use development in St. Albert, is aiming to change the perception of residential housing in the city, offering prospective homebuyers a more affordable option with beautiful natural surroundings.

Set on nearly 10 acres along Grenadier Park, Grandin Parc Village offers immediate possession condos starting from around $190,000. The master-planned community by Amacon features 91 carefully crafted units — ranging in size from 658 to 1,407 square feet — with a variety of floor plans available, from one-bedroom plus den to threebedroom plus den.

“We’ve always known about the absolute beauty and true charm of St. Albert, and we wanted to develop a new, vibrant, and walkable community that was more affordable for the average homebuyer,” said Grace Austin, marketing and sales manager for Amacon. “Since the homes became available for occupancy in late March, we have welcomed homeowners into onethird of the homes. The sense of community is starting to take shape, as more and more homeowners continue to move in each week.”

Nine-foot ceilings and quartz countertops are standard in each unit. White shaker-style cabinets complement Whirlpool stainless steel appliances, while large windows provide plenty of natural light and air conditioning helps to ensure residents’ comfort.

But Grandin Parc Village’s appeal extends far beyond its suites. Keyless entry, gated underground parking and storage lockers increase convenience. Amenities include a fully equipped fitness facility and social lounge with dining area, along with easy access to nearby walking paths and the Red Willow Trail system.

“This whole development is about complementing the exquisite, small-town charm of St. Albert with a completely new living experience that promotes high density and connected living for first-time homebuyers, growing families, and downsizing residents from the community,” said Austin.

“The design of the village remains Grandin Parc Village’s most unique feature. Set within walking distance to the historic Perron Street, Grandin Parc Village will only continue to be more accessible and walkable in the coming years as future phases are realized. Eventually, we will see 160,000 square feet of retail, additional office space, and a walkable village concept with open landscaped and flexible public spaces.”

Anyone interested in learning more about Grandin Parc Village is invited to a celebratory event on Saturday, from 12-5 p.m. at the development’s presentation centre, located at #104, 5 St. Louis Street in St. Albert.

Corresponding with the final day of the St. Albert Farmers’ Market, the event will feature prizes and giveaways, as well as pumpkin carving and pie-eating contests. St. Albert Mayor Nolan Crouse will also be in attendance, judging the pumpkin carving contest.

“This is a truly unique offering, where you can choose a brand new, move-in ready home, and be the first to live in this brand new community with so much more to come,” said Austin. “
