Liberal policies killed Energy East
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Edmonton Mill Woods MP Amarjeet Sohi state that the cancellation of the Energy East Pipeline by TransCanada was a business decision.
I agree, but only inasmuch as it was a decision taken by a business. They both insult my intelligence by claiming that the disastrous climate policies of the federal Liberal party had nothing to do with it. By claiming that the falling price of oil was the main culprit in the company’s reason for the cancellation does not ring true as the Energy East project is the only ongoing project they have abandoned; all other future developments are going ahead.
Is it coincidence that the Energy East project is situated in Canada with its myriad and constantly changing rules and regulations working against any logical business decision? No, Mr. Trudeau has worked solely to protect his Liberal MPs in Quebec. Graham Morris, Edmonton
