Tutti Frutti Breakfast & Lunch

- GreG DonneLLy

Walking into Tutti Frutti Breakfast & Lunch, it’s the clean modern decor that puts you at ease and lifts your spirits. That’s one of the keys to the breakfast restaurant’s success. “It’s vibrant and welcoming,” says Sam Ammar, the area developer in Alberta. “It’s a unique atmosphere that allows our customers to feel comfortable as they enjoy our breakfast and lunch menu.”

After noticing the breakfast and lunch crowd were underserved in the Edmonton market, Ammar decided to bring the Quebec restaurant chain to Alberta in 2014.

“Other breakfast restaurants haven’t revolutionized their menu and their atmosphere is still the exact same. To us it’s not just bacon and eggs; we are experts in bacon and eggs and in serving the full breakfast spectrum. Sometimes we even put a little twist on it, which is what makes us unique,” says Ammar.

A twist such as their Strawberry Crips sandwich or their seasonal feast menu with a featured fruit. It’s this balance between traditional breakfast and exquisite fresh meals that makes Tutti Frutti Breakfast & Lunch a Readers’ Choice award winner. “The reason we do it is to provide options for customers,” says Ammar. “Those options also include a healthy lunch choice. Our goal is to provide a menu and atmosphere that allows an organic source of time for our customers to spend with loved ones.”

There are now six locations in the Edmonton area, and in 2018 their first Calgary location will open. And despite being a Quebec based company, the menus in Alberta are grassroots driven, featuring items based on the tastes and input of customers here in Edmonton.
