For more than 60 years, the people behind Carpet Craft & More have been providing residents of Edmonton and area with all their flooring needs.
This year the company is a winner in the floor coverings category of the Edmonton Journal’s Readers’ Choice Awards,
“We are a custom order house,” says Carpet Craft & More owner Rob Naismith. “We order exactly what people need. The exact colour, the exact style.
“We give free design consultations and estimates. We can go out to a customer’s home or business and help them pick products, just to make sure what they are getting is what they want.”
Naismith says the company got its start back in 1957, making it one of the longest established floor coverings companies around.
Many employees have been with Carpet Craft & More for 25 and even 40 years, and have tremendous experience in the industry.
They carry a wide range of products, including carpet, hardwood, laminate, ceramic tile, porcelain tile, linoleum and area rugs. They also do shower enclosures, infloor radiant heating, and window treatments.
Everything can be expertly installed.
“Our installers are trained and certified in manufacturer recommended techniques,” Naismith says. “There are so many products on the market today; if you don’t follow exactly the manufacturer’s recommendations you could find yourself in trouble.
“And not only are our installers trained to install all the new products out there but the sales people are also trained in what to advise people,”
Over the years Carpet Craft & More has served generations of satisfied customers.
“We’ve got some stories like that, where we’ve served the grandparents, the parents and now the kids are coming in.
“That just goes to show you that if you stick with a group of people and treat them right they just keep coming back and bringing their friends and relatives.”
