CONTROL WHAT YOU CONSUME

Flavourful home-cooked meals are easy to prepare

- ATCO BLUE FLAME KITCHEN

Most of us love dining out, but even the “healthiest” restaurant meals tend to have gigantic portions. Cooking at home means you get to put yourself back in the driver’s seat and have more control over what you eat.

Healthy cooking doesn’t have to be bland — these recipes can be welcome additions to your repertoire.

Our Tuscan stew is so hearty and satisfying that no one could guess that it is vegetarian. It’s chock-full of vegetables, including peppers, mushrooms, zucchini, tomato and green beans. Kidney beans and mozzarella cheese add protein, while basil, oregano and red pepper flakes add flavour. Our Asian pork tenderloin is slathered with a sweet and savoury sauce made with hoisin, soy sauce, ketchup, hot sauce, ginger and garlic, before roasting quickly in the oven.

While the tenderloin is cooking, put on some rice and stir-fry some vegetables for an easy Asian-inspired meal.

Our one-pot everyday chili uses simple ingredients like ground beef, canned tomatoes and canned beans. It’s so simple to prepare and so delicious that you might be tempted to make it every day. For extra flavour, try replacing the chili powder with our zesty taco seasoning mix.
