We want inclusion, not exclusion

-

My husband and I are very sad and very disappointed by this exclusion of the military walking in the parade. In our big family we have members who served and are serving in the military. They are loving and very decent people. We ignore the fact that our members in the military have pledged their lives to protect our lives. What is more precious than one’s own life? We are fighting for inclusion.

Pointing the finger at others is not going to solve any problem.

If we really want to solve the problem we have to get together so that we can communicate. We have come so far. Let us work on it sensibly for inclusion and not exclusion.

We strongly support our councillor Jon Dziadyk’s concern and support him wholeheartedly. We wish that next year we can walk with our members in the forces side-by-side and be proud. Clarence Kingsley-Pillai and Daniel Cunningham, Edmonton
