Fifty Shades actor puts a face to new Hugo Boss fragrance

-

Irish actor Jamie Dornan has been tapped as the new face of BOSS The Scent from Hugo Boss.

The popular fragrance is available in versions for men and women, and the Fifty Shades of Grey star will front the latest campaign alongside Dutch model Birgit Kos, who has previously walked the runway for Fendi, Alexandre Vauthier, Versace and Roberto Cavalli.

Dornan, who enjoyed a modelling career after appearing on British television show Model Behaviour in 2001, says he’s honoured to embody the brand’s classic ethos.

“For me, Boss represents sophistication, masculinity and elegance,” he said in a statement released to trade journal WWD (Women’s Wear Daily).

Of the collaboration, Kos, 22, added: “Working with Jamie was great. I could not have asked for a better person to work with.”

Dornan, 36, has partnered with Hugo Boss in the past, having showcased the label’s ready-towear garments and underwear from 2006-08. He also appeared in the German brand’s fall/winter 2011 campaign.

Other luxury collaborations include Aquascutum, Armani, Dior and Calvin Klein, while the actor has been lucky enough to pose with fashion icons including Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, as well as actress Eva Mendes.

Though Dornan is pleased to announce his latest venture with Hugo Boss, acting remains his priority.

Later this year, he can be seen in movies including Otto Bathurst’s Robin Hood and Matthew Heineman’s A Private War.

He even previously admitted that he never believed modelling was his calling.

“I’ve never felt massively satisfied from standing there while someone takes my photograph,” he told The Evening Standard in 2014.

“It’s never given me a thrill, but it would take a very foolish man to turn down the stuff that was offered to me.”
