South Edmonton Common might be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, but shoppers will be the ones receiving a big present: the first-ever Nordstrom Rack location in Edmonton, opening Oct. 25 in a massive 36,000-square-foot space.

Located next to Gateway Boulevard and 19 Avenue, the store will cater to men’s, women’s, and kids’ fashions, as well as cosmetics and a wide selection of home décor. Shoppers can expect savings up to 70 per cent off merchandise from Nordstrom’s main department stores, and specially-purchased items for its Rack locations.

Brands to look out for include Kate Spade New York, Ted Baker London, Theory, and Bobbi Brown. Each Nordstrom Rack location has a dedicated runway section where shoppers can find the most daring designer styles at a serious discount.

To make shopping a breeze, the South Edmonton Common store will be equipped with express mobile checkout kiosks. These kiosks allow shoppers to purchase items in a flash using their mobile devices – a major plus considering a moment’s hesitation might mean someone else will scoop up the prize. The store will also have free Wi-Fi so shoppers can seamlessly use the mobile checkout kiosks.

Keep an eye out for the week of the grand opening as Nordstrom Rack will be hosting a tailgate party for the public to enjoy.
