COFFIN, Donald Thomas “Tom”

1949 –2020

-

After a year long battle with cancer and health issues, Tom Coffin passed away peacefully on December 15, 2020 surrounded by his wife of 47 years, Daria; daughters, Jennie and Sarah and the love of all his family, friends, neighbours and his favourite pup Mae.

He will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Bill (Debbie); sister, Debbie (Os); extended family, the Yamniuks and the Witchers; and all of his nieces and nephews.

Tom was predeceased by his parents, Ted and Mary; sisters, Judy and Wendy and brother-in-law, Doug.

Tom was the most beloved husband and father and always looked out for “his girls”. He was often found in his garage building projects and repairing anything that needed fixing. We will deeply miss his check-in phone calls and random drop overs. He will be forever loved. Tom had an incredibly kind heart and loved donating and volunteering his time. He had a passion for golf and spent his retirement volunteering for the Victoria Golf Course in the summer. Through the winter months he kept busy volunteering in the warehouse for Santa’s Anonymous.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a Private Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020. To view the service, please visit www.connelly-mckinley.com . In lieu of flowers, and to continue Tom’s spirit of giving, please make a donation to the S.K.Y. Club – EMCN www.emcn.ab.ca/interactions/donate.html

Our family would like to say a very special thank you to Dr. Fawcett, Emily, Natasha and all of the wonderful nurses on Unit 33 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
