Events scene ramps up

- JENNY FENIAK

As with tides, Edmonton's reopening and the list of live events are ebbing as well as flowing.

Aaron Goodvin, originally from northern Alberta, lived in Edmonton for several years before relocating to Nashville where he upped his country music game.

His 2017 single Lonely Drum was certified double platinum with 24.7 million streams, a good base from which to launch his current single, Boy Like Me.

Goodvin was on a bill with Washboard Union from Vancouver, a show that was to be the trio's first in 2021.

Unfortunately, the June 16 show at Union Hall has been postponed until Sept. 3, the message released stating more time is being given to ensure everyone can be vaccinated and as safe as possible in a close-quarters, indoor environment.
