Eight of nine federal ridings were won by Conservati­ve candidates two years ago

After just two years, Canadians will head back to the polls Sept. 20.

Edmonton has nine federal ridings, all but one of which were won by Conservati­ve candidates in the 2019 election. All incumbents are running for re-election.

Here's a list of confirmed candidates running in Edmonton in Canada's 44th federal election. The deadline for candidates to submit their nomination papers was Aug. 30.

Advance voting in the election will take place Sept. 10-13 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day. You can find your riding online at the Elections Canada website.

ST. ALBERT-EDMONTON

In 2019, Conservati­ve Michael Cooper won this riding with 60.7 per cent of the vote. A total of 65,091 valid ballots were cast in the 2019 election among 93,468 registered voters for a 69.6 per cent voter turnout.
