If “Under the Sea,” “A Whole New World” and “Colors of the Wind” remain on your iPod to this day, listen up: Alan Menken, the man behind those epic Disney music moments, is writing the score for Galavant, an all-singing, all-lampooning fairy tale on small screens this winter. British-Canadian actress Karen David, who plays the feisty princess Isabella, almost couldn’t handle how much the Menken connection meant to her: “When I sang my ballad ‘Love Is Strange’ in front of Alan, I got goosebumps—and a little teary. I remember being in the choir in high school in Toronto and singing all of his Disney songs. Never in a million years did I think I would be working with him. I just had to pinch myself!”
