TALK OF THE TOWN

-

Simons,

the 176-year-old retailer that was founded in Quebec City, is finally setting up shop in Ontario, with a first store opening at Square One in Mississauga on March 17. Expect the same interiors that have won the brand design awards—think custom art installations and pops of colour accenting clean modern lines—and a roster of labels ranging from Canadian fixture Denis Gagnon and up-and-comer UNTTLD to international obsessions Balmain, Acne Studios and J.W. Anderson. The one-stop shop will follow the same formula that has landed it retail fame in other provinces, offering chic housewares alongside men’s and women’s collections. To top it off, it will be launching a new in-store café called Ève, where you can refuel before (or after) you hit the racks. We’ll be lining up. n
