THAT’S HOW MANY COMMITMENT PATTERNS THERE ARE THAT DETERMINE WHETHER A COUPLE WILL MARRY.

A study by the University of Illinois identified these types of relationships—dramatic, partner focused, socially involved, conflict ridden—and found that dating couples who are “partner focused” (where they value each other above anything else) are most likely to marry.
