GREEN PARTY

While crystals might be having a moment with the hipster set, they’re no longer the default deodorant option for the eco-minded. These aluminum-free sweat stoppers have been upgraded with display-worthy packaging and enhanced with skin-softening ingredients. Many contain baking soda, which absorbs wetness and halts odour production by blasting bacteria (which is what causes the unpleasant smell).

1. Kai Deodorant ($38) Fans of this light gardenia scent will adore its clear vegan formula, which contains skin-conditioning sugars to curb moisture. 2. Way of

Will 02 Natural Deodorant Tea Tree + Pumpkin Seed ($21) This deodorant uses tea-tree oil to zap bacteria and keeps skin’s delicate barrier intact with moisturizing coconut oil and shea butter. Kaolin clay swoops in to vacuum up moisture.

3. Ursa Major Hoppin’ Fresh Deodorant ($24.50) This one glides on like a cooling gel and absorbs sweat while tempering pungency with eucalyptus, ginger, grapefruit, rosemary, lemon and camomile. It smells so delicious, we’re tempted to throw it in a blender and drink it up like juice. 4. Agent Nateur & Shiva Rose

Holi(Rose) No. 4 Deodorant ($29.50) This is handmade in Paris with avocado butter and loaded with sandalwood and rose. The packaging is minimal and cool; it wouldn’t look out of place in a black-and-white Scandinavian bathroom. 5. Kaia Naturals The Takesumi Detox Bamboo Charcoal Deodorant in Cold Pressed Rose ($21) It functions like a magnet, attracting and drawing out bacteria and toxins while reducing wetness—but you will initially sweat more as you adjust to the formula and complete what the brand calls “your detox journey.”
