COORS LIGHT

-

SNOWBOMBING’S SOPHOMORE CANUCK CRUSADE (it’s been bringing music to the mountains of Europe since the beginning of this millennium) has the tall order of besting its inaugural edition. It appears to be up for the challenge, though, with chart-topping “Bodak Yellow” rapper Cardi B and electronic maestros ODESZA at the summit, and support from acts such as Troyboi, Borgore, Goldlink, Kyle, Gorgon City, Nora en Pure, Matoma, Justin Martin, Black Tiger Sex Machine and the Funk Hunters set to descend on Sun Peaks Resort in British Columbia from April 5 to 9. Sure, that’s over 400 km from Vancouver or 500 km (including some water) from Victoria, but we’ve got the transportation (via inter-BC flight) for one lucky winner and a friend. They’ll also get four nights accommodation and a festival pass each. Head on over to exclaim.ca to enter for your chance to win this thunderous, non-tundra-ish getaway.

SENSITIVE STRUMMER Chris Carrabba has been releasing emotional earworms as Dashboard Confessional since Y2K, and in doing so has covered the breadth of relationships: from a broken heart to one bursting with joy. They have the perfect theme song, no matter where you’re at in life. Head to exclaim.ca to take a quick quiz to determine if you’re more “Swiss Army Romance,” “Vindicated” or “We Fight.” The quartet’s new album, Crooked Shadows, is out February 9 on Dine Alone Records. They’ll be taking the record on tour across Canada from February 21 to March 13, with support from the Elwins and Gabrielle Shonk, beginning in Vancouver and ending in Oshawa, ON. Head over to exclaim.ca for the full list of dates.
