Cooper would like to thank his wife Lisa for always supporting him, and Von and

Cooper and Lisa found her a ’01 Ford F-150 that was already bagged, but it was missing a few major additions like big billets and a body drop. Luckily, their good friend Von Chounlamany agreed to help them out and build a chassis that would lay out her ’01 Ford.

After Lisa’s truck was done, Cooper started to think about building himself a custom body-dropped truck. As a joke for Christmas, Lisa had a large banner printed up with a rendering of the F-100 bodied on billets for his shop. As soon as he saw it, he knew it was time to start cutting up The Pickle.

Originally, the plans were to have Von build the chassis, but he

convinced Cooper that he could do it with his guidance. So, Cooper started putting things together with help from Von through phone calls, texts and pictures. The plan was for Von to come down and help Cooper set up the four-link, but sadly that moment would not happen. Von suddenly passed away and Cooper was without his leader. Cooper carried on with the build and secondguessed most of his decisions, but he always remembered what advice Von would tell him: “Think it all the way through before doing.” Luckily Von’s brother Jason came over to his shop and helped him finish up his chassis work to finalize the build in remembrance of Von.

Going forward, the plans are for a stroked 9.5 deck-based engine and a 4R70W transmission.

Their goal is to make big power but still be able to cruise down the highway to shows.

Lisa and Cooper get so much enjoyment out of going to shows and spending time with the wonderful people they have met and can call family.
