New Brunswick Climbers Receive Jon Lauchlan Award for 2017

Max Fisher and Fred Giroux received the John Lauchlan Award for their plan to climb a new route above the Homathko Icefield near the Mount Waddington area. The two will attempt a line that Fisher spotted on a previous trip. If successful, the two will summit an unnamed peak and likely unclimbed peak. Fisher is from Sackville, N.B. and Giroux is from Dalhousie, N.B. Both are accomplished rock, ice and alpine climbers.
