First Ice Ascent of the Chief

The colder-than-usual winter froze many old classic ice routes and many new ones. On the Chief, Jian Condon, Jason Kruk, Paul McSorley and Tony Richardson made the first ascent of Ultimate Ultimate Everything, the winter variation of Ultimate Everything 5.10. They started at the base and finished on the summit. A week later, Luka Lindic, Tim Emmett and Marc-Andre Leclerc repeated the line and linked it with the three-pitch classic The Dream WI5 that ends at the top gondola station.
