Who were/are the most important Quebec climbers? Every generation since the 1930s has produced leading climbers that have contributed to building a climbing and mountain culture in Quebec. To name a few: Bernard Poisson, Claude Lavallée, Jean Sylvain, André and Paul Laperrière, Gaétan Martineau, Serge Angelucci, Mathieu Fontaine, Yannick Girard and Jean-François Beaulieu.
