Tony McLane Solos Big Rockies Face
Tony McLane soloed the north face of Mount Geikie in the Canadian Rockies. It was the first time anyone soloed the 1,500- m face. He climbed The Lowe/Hannibal 5.11 up 750 metres of quartzite to 450 metres of mixed climbing into the upper buttress of the original 1967 route by John Hudson and Royal Robbins.
