Will Bosi Sends 5.15b

-

Scottish climber Will Bosi sent his first 5.15b with La Capella at Siurana in Spain. The 21-year-old became only the second U.K. climber to manage a redpoint of the grade. He needed only two sessions and was working against the clock and worsening skin conditions. After the send, he said, “I just can’t stop smiling. This route has been a lifetime goal of mine and climbing it means so much to me.” Bosi became the youngest U.K. climber to bag a 5.15a with Rainshadow at Malham in 2018 before repeating the grade with the iconic Hubble at Raven Tor and a first repeat of Malcolm Smith’s Hunger at the Anvil, Loch Goil. Steve Mcclure became the first Brit to climb 5.15b with an ascent of his own route, Rainman at Malham Cove.
