Tabvar Gets New President

The Association of Bow Valley Rock Climbers (tabvar) was founded in 1994 to raise and distribute funds to help with the material costs incurred in the installation of fixed hardware on and maintenance of climbs in the Bow Valley, Alta. Longtime climber and route developer Jon Jones, is stepping down as president. He said, “There is no particular reason for this other than I have been president more or less continuously since tabvar’s inception in 1994 and feel that it is time for somebody else to take over, especially since I now no longer live in the area. The tabvar directors have voted for Ian Greant to take over the role of president.”
