IGLOO TAG TRADEMARK

Establishe­d in 1958 by the Canadian federal government and now managed by the Inuit Art Foundation, the Igloo Tag Trademark is applied to sculptures, wall hangings, ceramics and other visual art to signify the works were made by Inuit artists. Once only available to major wholesale distributo­rs and territoria­l government­s, the trademark is expanding to be used by all Inuit artists.
