1 The print program was establishe­d in the 1960s, and the first annual collection was released in 1970. The Sanavik Co-op suspended the print program in 1990.

2 Although nivingajul­iat are primarily produced by women, there are also men who produced the sewn ar t, and some became well known in their own right. Jimmy Taipana (1919–2000) and Normee Ekoomiak (1948–2009) are two such examples of nivingajul­iat producers.
