This year’s Postmedia Raisea-Reader day, an annual event held in Canada to raise money for literacy programs, is rapidly approachin­g. This year’s date is Wednesday, Sept. 28. Across Prince Edward Island, employees of The Guardian and the Journal Pioneer, along with many local officials and personalit­ies, will be out early in the morning raising funds for literacy programs across the Island.
