WAYNE’S IN WASHINGTON
Wayne Easter, Malpeque MP and co-chair of Canada-U.S. Interparliamentary Group, is attending the meeting of the National Governors Association (NGA) in Washington, D.C., from Feb. 24 to 27. The NGA is a public policy organization representing U.S. governors on Capitol Hill and before the U.S. Administration, on federal issues affecting them. Easter noted that members of the IPG’s Canadian section have been attending NGA meetings for years to find points of convergence in national policies, to exchange information and to promote better understanding on shared issues of concern.
