Spiritual retreat coming to Charlottetown in March
New directions abound with the Martha Spirituality Centre in Charlottetown and its upcoming four-week Lenten retreat.
The retreat, called the First Spiritual Exercises (FSE), includes a commitment to daily prayer from Monday to Thursday and a Sunday spiritual exercise. Participants will be meet weekly during the retreat and share their experience in spiritual conversation facilitated by trained guides.
The retreat will begin with an information session on March 5, followed by four consecutive Sunday evening sessions from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The retreats costs $30 and includes a book on the FSE by Michael Hansen SJ, and is open to men and women of any Christian denomination.
All those interested in attending are asked to register by calling 902-367-3103 or emailing srgemma@eastlink.ca on or before Feb. 27 in order to have enough copies of the FSE books available. The Martha Spirituality Centre is located at SDU Place on Great George Street and is accessed by using the entrance at the back of the building.
