Novice A tournament champions
The Summerside Team One Capitals posted a perfect 3-0 (won-lost) record en route to capturing the 2017 Islander Day novice A hockey tournament at the Gateway Arena in Borden-Carleton on Monday. The Caps, who sport a season record of 20-4-4 (won-lost-tied), defeated Southside Team One, the Charlottetown Reds and Charlottetown Ice Blazers in tournament play. The Caps would like to acknowledge the Southside Minor Hockey Association and, in particular, organizer Chris Keough for hosting a fun day of hockey.
