Keough sparks Warriors to road win

Prince County outscores Express in other action

Connor Keough scored twice and assisted on another to lead the Prince County Warriors to a road win on Thursday night. The Warriors downed the Eastern Express 6-4 in the P.E.I. Major Bantam AAA Hockey League contest, which was played at the Pownal Sports Centre.

The Warriors were scheduled to host the Mid-Isle Matrix in O’Leary on Friday night as well. Kalib Snow (2), Zach Biggar (1-1) and Chandler DesRoches (1-1) rounded out the scoring for Prince County, which moved to within four points of the second-place Matrix. Ben Cooke (2), Luke Payne and Austin Arsenault drew assists. Cole Larkin, William Proud, Jack Campbell (penalty shot) and Dylan Blackett replied for the Express. Sam MacNeill, Jack Triantafillou, Luke Garnhum, Reid Peardon and Gabe Hartlan drew assists.

The Express led 2-1 after the first period, and the teams were tied 3-3 following two periods. Chad Arsenault recorded the goaltending win. Caleb Drake was between the pipes for Eastern.
