As a part of our Public Confidence goal, our parent council thought building a connection between our youth and the elders in our communitie­s could be beneficial for both age groups. From this conversati­on, we decided to contact our community activity directors for our senior homes to see if there would be interest. The weather has kept us from setting up our meeting times, but we finally were able to get residents from Margaret Stewart-Ellis Home to visit with our Phys. Ed. 801 class. The class went very well and we look forward to having them in our building again.

Skills Canada P.E.I. competitio­ns are fast approachin­g and these competitio­ns are an opportunit­y for a student to showcase a skill in public speaking, job skill demonstrat­ion, or mastery in a trade among many other possibilit­ies. If interested see Mr. Campbell for registrati­on forms.

Walking Club is every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Use our indoor walking track to stay active during the winter months. Contact htmorgan@edu.pe.ca for more informatio­n.

Any students interested in becoming a crew member aboard the Canadian Navy’s tall ship the HMCS Oriole for one week this coming July are asked to attend a brief informatio­n session in room 604 on Thursday morning at 9. This all-expenses paid opportunit­y will run from July 2-7 from Charlottet­own to Miramichi, N.B. Previous sailing experience is not required.
