The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. with family by his side on Monday March 6th,

2017 of John

“Jack” Praught of Summerside and formerly of Grand

River, P.E.I., aged 94 years.

Jack was born in Grand River to the late Sanctinus and Minnie (nee Peters) Praught. Beloved husband of the late Edith (nee Birch) Praught and loving father of Blair, Charlottet­own, Judy (Wyman) Enman, North Enmore, Joanie Praught, Grand River, Barbara (Robert) Richard, Summerside, Brenda (Kent) Biggar, Tyne –Valley and daughter in-law Debbie Praught. Also lovingly remembered by his 13 grandchild­ren, 16 great grandchild­ren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by his brother and sisters; Bill, Ontario, Gertrude (Tony) DeLaRosa, Illinois, US, Lillian Rogers, Summerside and sister in-law Eliana Praught. Besides his parents and wife, Jack was predecease­d by his son Jackie Praught, brothers and sisters; Frank (Zelma), Evelyn (Bill) Raspa, Edith (Gary) Burharp, Gladys (John) Panzl, Wilbert (Louise), Irene (Bill) Conn, Urban and brother in-law Al Rogers. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, March 8th, then to St. Patrick’s Church, Grand River for a funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Jack’s memory to St. Patrick’s Church Building Fund or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciate­d.
