COMPAGNON, Karen Mary Susan – age 54, of Kingston, N. S. passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, surrounded by her family. Born in Kensington, P. E. I., she was the daughter of the late Arthur

J. and Edna A.

( Martin) Arsenault. Karen was an avid crafter who enjoyed such things as painting, crossstitching and making teddy bears. She enjoyed travelling by motorcycle with her husband Eric; having ridden across Canada, the U. S. A. and extensively around the Atlantic Provinces. Karen was a devoted wife and mother and loved her family dearly. She also loved dogs and always had at least one in the house. Karen will be sadly missed by her husband Eric; daughters Melissa, Amanda and Jessica Compagnon, all of Kingston; sisters Barbara ( Jim) Semple of Montague, PEI; Velda MacInnis of Kensington, PEI; Marena ( Mike) Hopkinson of Charlottetown, PEI; brothers Edmond ( Ann) Arsenault of Amherst, N. S.; Walter ( Sandy) Arsenault of Central Bedeque, P. E. I. and Gilbert ( Cecile) Arsenault of Kensington, PEI; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Joseph Arsenault. In keeping with Karen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held at 2 p. m., Monday, March 13, 2017 at Queen of Heaven Chapel, 14 Wing, Greenwood with Father Rory MacDonald officiating. A reception for family and friends will be held following the service in the church annex. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1- 855- 825- 3448.
